Well it depends and varies from trader to trader, most trader prefer able to control their emotions and trade with patience mind that's why the used to trade on a long term basis and due to this reason they will be in a reasonable profit. On the other hand i always used to trade on short term basis there are two prime reasons is closed with me, that sometimes i becomes emotional on the course of trading and the next reason is my investment is very limited to go for trading for a long period of time to get bigger profit.

long term Forex trading is very important for get profit,it is easy to take profit, but is not possible for me like as long term trader i am short time trader.

sometimes when the market do go wrong and you are left without anything and you would understnadand make sure that you know what you are doing and hundling.

i think every trading strategy can be used to trade short term or for using in long term but we must adjust the parameters such as the level of stop loss or take profit.

it depends on whether you are full time trader or not. i think part trader should not prefer long time trading over short time. actually expert traders count their profit in pips not in how much dollar you have earned. so most of the experienced trader choose full time trading as from full time trading it is easy too earn much pips than short time trading. good luck mate!

actually i more feel like trading small tym, as i dont have enough big capital and use very high leverage. so if i place a trade for long, as we know eur/usd pair move about 100pips per day, i will be margin called easily..

i think long time trading is much profitable. if a trader trade hear long time he get a good profit from hear. but long time trading is not so easy. if a trader trade hear long time he must have trading experience and know about the trade market. a proper invest and take risk and money management is essential for a long time trader.

I disagree with your opinion. I do know a few traders with long term strategy and can generate large profits, and greater than a few traders with short term strategies. But I also know a few traders with short term strategies that could produce far greater profits than traders with short term strategy, although with the same capital.
Maybe that determines the profit generated large or small, is not only used but also the strategies employed money management.

that is a good idea, i think you have good thinking to save our profit so when we get a loss, our profit is not affected because we has been withdraw it.
so make a routinely withdraw is very important to do. as you say do in weekly basis, but for me better to make withdraw in monthly basis :)

I consider long term trading have lesser risk but one should analyse for good fundamentals the instrument one want to go long with and ensure that use very low leverage and we can open long as well short for quick profit and long for handsome profit but all is need to good experience and skill in forex.
