In term of stability its really good that we know how to hold our position and hope that we can make good amount of money. But if we can't hold our position then its better that we just going to put SL and do short term strategy. I know short term is good earning but same time very risky. This depends on us. I think long term if it is more relaxed because we put in the position long enough. while the short term may be done if we have a lot of time in front of the screen. Agreed. You can't imitate or try do what another person does because what has worked for him prolly won't work for you. It's up to the trader to practice on a demo and decide whether to be an aggressive trader and trade short periods or go with patience.

For me I prefer long time forex trading because in long terms you don't have to sit in front of the terminal watching each and every move of the pair and then you can make good profits from long time trading then short term. Consistency is very much needed in forex market cause every time we are the trade take big risk cause of human psychology take it for taking risk. so that I think we have to follow long term with good money management for consistency and continuous profit.

Everyone sets his target according to his own strategy for me 10 pips daily are enough with 1 standard lot size.
If I get my daily target, I will close my trades and do not trade more for that day.

I usually use ratio 1.5:1 to set a standard take profit of 30 pips and stop loss of 20 pips in all my positions but most of the time when i am online i used to manually close when i have the profit which i expect in that particular trade.
