short term forex trading is always better since then you can get in and out of the trade real fast and can monitor for any abnormality that happens during the trade, in long term trade sometimes you get stuck on the wrong side of the trend

one night stands are better than marriage, i use 15 min or 1 hour chart, get in and out of the trades real fast between 5 to 30 minutes i am out of the trade, then plan a new one, keeping a daily chart is missing a lot of action and entering into high risk trades on daily charts, coz a trend change is known on 15 min chart first.

All ways of trading are good. But i prefer short-term trading specially scalping. The reason why is follow this type of trading is that it makes me to asleep me without any tension. I do not hold my positions over the night.

Yes long term trading goes by keeping positions for weeks to months and it requires good knowledge of fundamental analysis. Whereas short term trading, like scalping involves of technical analysis. Based on the strategy we need to choose type of trading and keeping it open again purely based on strategies...

but if we know the appropriate confirmation of an indicator I think. it is possible. Scalping is used when the market moves sideway. and this condition is not moving fast. and it was very profitable. long term is also good. but that advantage for long-term.

I agree with you, I also like short term trading because price of pairs is fluctuating and coming up and down so we should get some profit of this volatility and short term trading is best for this type of market conditions. Long term trading need a lot of patience that is not available with me.

Yes one should decide on his own what is best for him. We should choose the long term or short term trading we need to do depending on our time available for trading , capital required for it etc.
I am quite happy with my long term trading as it is tension free and keeps my mind quite calm for long time though the profit is less.

Yes long term trading is far more safe as we select the instrument according to fundamntals and it works as an investment for long term giving good appreciation, as we have very short capital we can do short term trading for some time to increase our capital and then sit back to take advantage of long term preice appreciation, would not that be wise?

even i use D1 chart for long term trades which i finish up by the end of the week or couple of days, and also sometimes peek into H4 chart to get a preview if so but never go to any else of the charts coz it just increses the confusion and also a lot bad for long term trade

Not necessarily that one bad trade in short term can finish everything. If we manage our capital properly then our account will not be subjected to margin call. Without proper money management one bad trade can finish not only short term trade but also long term trade. Short or long term trades do not have any bearing whether we are gonna be successful or not.

I prefer long time forex trading because in long terms you don't have to sit in front of the terminal watching each and every move of the pair and then you can make good profits from long time trading then short term.
