EUR / USD remains heavily bearish.
After found support in the 1.1480 area, EUR / USD failed to recover above the 1.1530 threshold. This has revived the decline, and we are back to the 1.1450 area. Note the quick wick to 1.1515 which is due to a break and downward acceleration of USD / JPY.

However, EUR / USD has quickly corrected downward. This shows that the pair will have trouble bouncing in the very short term.
The risks therefore seem more downward, and this should remain the case as we move below 1.1530.

Even from a technical perspective, the recent break below a short-term ascending trend-line support and the overnight failure ahead of the 1.1200 handle further reinforce the negative outlook. Hence, a follow-through weakness back towards challenging yearly lows, around the 1.1110 region, remains a distinct possibility, below which the pair is likely to accelerate the slide further towards testing over four-month-old descending trend-channel support, currently near the 1.1030 region.

Such a maneuver clearly had an impact on the changes in the optional trend.
And the trend changed in the opposite direction. At 1.1550, call orders dominated, which naturally affected the price.
Before the breakout of 1.1474 occurred, the growth option remained relevant, but after the breakout and consolidation lower, further growth, at least until the European session, would be unlikely.

EUR/USD Analysis: Support at 1.1138/1.1110, resistance at 1.1160/1.1185

EUR/USD does not like to move that much but now it has not had another option. A perfect storm has sent the world's most-powerful currency pair to 1.1138, the lowest in four weeks.

EUR/USD is trading below the 50, 100, and 200 Simple Moving Averages on the four-hour chart, momentum is negative, and the Relative Strength Index is leaning lower yet without entering oversold conditions. In one word: bearish.

1.1135, which was a low point in early May, is still fought over. Further down, the 2019 trough of 1.1110 is getting closer. The next levels date back to June 2017: 1.1025 and 1.0900.

Resistance awaits at 1.1170 that capped recovery attempts late last week. Further above, 1.1190 was the high point this week. The next lines are 1.1225 and 1.1250.

In the H4 chart, EURUSD reached the support at the 0/8 level, rebounded from it, and right not the pair is trading above the 2/8 one. As a rule, when the price rebounds from the 0/8 level, the first target is the resistance at the 3/8 one, which means that the pair is going to test this level and may offer two possible scenarios. The first scenario suggests that the instrument may break the resistance and then continue growing towards the 5/8 level. This scenario is confirmed by yesterday’s growth. The second one implies that the pair may rebound from the resistance and then start a new descending to reach the support at the 1/8 level, which may be considered as a correction of the future uptrend. This scenario is hard to believe in, because most people on the market are expecting the price to continue moving downwards, but one shouldn’t ignore it. However, the “possible uptrend” scenario may be cancelled if the instrument breaks the 1/8 level. In this case, the instrument may continue trading downwards to reach the support at the -1/8 one.

The continuation of the corrective rebound carries the potential to extend and re-test the 55-day SMA ahead of 1.1240.
The broader perspective, however, remains bearish as long as the multi-month resistance line at 1.1275, caps the upside.

According to Valeria Bednarik, Chief Analyst atthe latest advance seems corrective, but warns the EUR/USD pair is technically bearish in the long-term perspective, still developing far below the daily descendant trend line coming from September high, currently at 1.1296. “In the weekly chart, the pair keeps developing below a bearish 20 SMA, which maintains its bearish slope below the larger ones. Technical indicators in the mentioned chart hold within negative levels, the RSI directionless at 43 and the Momentum aiming just modestly higher below the 100 level”.

The immediate resistance is 1.1265, where the pair topped twice this May, followed by the 1.1300 figure notes Bednarik. “Above this last, the bullish case will be a bit more sustainable. If the ongoing correction fails to continue, the risk will turn back south, with a break below 1.1100 exposing the 1.1020/40 price zone.”
