Crude Oil
In light of advanced data for crude oil futures markets from CME Group, open interest rose by almost 46.7K contracts on Friday. On the other hand, volume resumed the downside and retreated by 36.7K contracts.
WTI remains weak around $20.00
Prices of the barrel of the West Texas Intermediate are trading in fresh 2020 lows around the $20.00 mark. Rising open interest amidst the current decline opens the door for extra pullbacks in the short-term horizon, while the downtick in volume could spark some consolidation in the near term as well.

oil should be marking out the first leg of a larger correction. Shoud fade over 94(94.15) below 94.15 for 92.50 again before 96.00. I have selling position in 94.25 and will closed after 100 pips profit.

Tuesday, the U.S. Conference Board, said that its Consumer Confidence Index fell to a reading of 120 in March, down from February’s reading of 130.7; however, the drop beat expectations as economists expected a fall to 115.10.
“Consumer confidence declined sharply in March due to a deterioration in the short-term outlook,” said Lynn Franco, Senior Director of Economic Indicators at The Conference Board.
Although gold prices are down, the precious metal saw little reaction to the latest economic data. June gold futures last traded at $1,625 an ounce, down more than 1% on the day.

WASHINGTON, March 31 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump has signed off on a plan to defer U.S. tariffs on goods from countries with most-favored nation status for three months, to help ease the economic fallout of the coronavirus, a source familiar with the decision said Tuesday.
The plan would not apply to tariffs on Chinese and European goods subject to Section 301 tariffs or to steel and aluminum subject to Section 232 tariffs.
The source said it remained unclear when Trump would sign an executive order deferring the levies. Once signed, it would give the U.S. Treasury Department the authority to direct Customs and Border Protection to delay collecting tariffs on those imports for 90 days.

According to preliminary figures for crude oil futures markets, traders increased their open interest positions for the sixth session in a row on Wednesday, this time by around 53.1K contracts. In the same line, volume went up by nearly 281.6K contracts. Extending the erratic performance.
WTI looks supported just below $20.00
Prices of the WTI look to have met some decent contention in the sub-$20.00 area so far.
