for long-term trader i agree if we use h4, d1 or w1... but for short-term trader or scalper i recommend to use m1, m5 and m15... this will benefited to you..

i am just a newcomer and i use demo account. there i try to do scalping but on larger time frame. i mean i dont do day trade like putting a trade and waiting for few days. what i do is i scalp seeing m15 chart so it gives me tym to breath.

uptrend and downtrend both are best for making profit from this business. It depend on your knowledge. If you can get right trend for enter and exit then you can make good profit but if you enter on wrong trend then you can make loss on that trading.
