Eur/Jpy has bounced back up pretty quickly after previous pullbacks lower during this uptrend, but this time it has taken two trading sessions for this pair to climb 50 pips. This means that the buyers don’t have enough stamina to push the price higher and resume the uptrend. It is still now in sell but be carefull.

at the moment the cross is gaining 0.15% at 126.89 and a surpass of 127.50 (2019 high mar.4) would expose 128.10 (200-day sma) and finally 129.24 (high dec.13 2018). on the other hand, the next support lines up at 126.71 (100-hour sma) seconded by 126.22 (10-day sma) and then 125.51 (21-day sma).

The cross remains on the defensive so far today, extending the leg further south of the 125.00 key support amidst a persistent selling bias in the European currency.
EUR/JPY comes under extra downside pressure following the breakdown of the key short-term support line, today at 124.75.
The continuation of the selling bias should open the door for a potential visit to February lows in the 124.20/15 band ahead of mid-January low at 123.39.
