yes trailing stop is a very good method to keep your trades in profits because market can change its trend any time.However swing traders can continue their trades without trailing stop but day traders should use trailing stop.

i never use trailing stop for fixing the profit because i always do trade for short time and in that time i have to make money on daily basis.by opening 2 or more trades,i make profits on same time.in this way i earn in very short time...

when the market is a bit quieter and there is no sudden spikes which can close your trade and continue in the direct the trade was intended to continue, missing profits you could have earned. we talk about trailing stop then the stop loss value change in auto if the price move in your trader direction. if price move oppostie to your trade then the value is fixed.
