Because apart from the seemingly high risk factor, we can actually manipulate those risk as a trader and eventually turning up the odds to our benefit which will result in profit. Yes, forex is very risky, and why most traders are still doing it, because they are able to manipulate those risk (or learning how to manipulate the risk).

There is a proverb NO RISK! NO GAIN! so if there is a risk there also have something to get. so we always try to get reward besides a risk. I think forex trade is only risk for those who aren't follow the basics of this trade.
