I learned from my studies that if you want to scalp the forex market then you should use a small time frame like 5 mins or 15 mins. Any indicator that will give you good profit on big time frame will also give profit on small time frame but will need just little adjustment of the settings. I can advise that to use parabolic sar will help very well in scalping.

you may depend on 5 min chart depending on bolinger band upper and lower limits, if the prices goes above the upper band limit then go for short immediately with 5 point target , and the opposite for going short , but be aware of that you must choose the lower spreads paris, such as eur/usd , usd/jpy
and concentrate also on the highly frequent ups and downs pairs , such as usd/jpy

i use bollinger band indicator for scalping, i buy or sell when the candle is in the upper or lower line especially if it goes out of those line because it will come back inside the bollinger bands again for sure, then i take profit when it hits the middle line but sometimes earlier than that when i feel that it will not hit the middle line.
