Bollinger band trading requires that you understand all of these concepts completely in making trading decisions using the bands.

1.Bollinger band squeeze

What makes Bollinger bands even more unique are the advanced concepts that accompany these signals that form.

As you observe a continuation, a squeeze or a reversal pay special attention to how the upper and lower bands respond to approaching price action.

take a look at the following diagram closely and with careful study because grasping the following is the golden key to successful Bollinger band trading.



Bollinger band trading tactics for advanced traders

The candlesticks present represent current approaching price action to the upper or lower band. Lets start with #1.

1. Extremely bearish, price is falling to a lower band and the KEY is of course watching both the upper and lower band as price approaches. In this case the upper is rising while the lower is falling indicating not only a potential explosion in price but one to the downside is extremely likely.

2. Extremely bullish, price is rising to the upper band and the KEY is keeping a watchful eye on BOTH band as price approaches. In this case the upper band haeds UP and the lower band falls, indicating a potential price explosion to the upside.

3. Price approaches the lower band while the upper and lower band remain flat. This is very insignificant and should be ignored unless things change.

4. Price approaches the upper band while the upper and lower bands remain flat. This is also insignificant and best left for the amateurs to enter.

5. Bearish candlestick at a lower band while band constrict - this is a sign that price is likely at least for now going nowhere. Wait do not enter.

6. Same here, a bullish candlestick at the upper band while the bands are constricting is a sign that not much is about to happen just yet.

7. Like #1 this is a sign that price is going to make a nice move but the lack of the upper band hooking up indicates that the move for now won't necessarily be explosive.

8. Also similar to its counterpart in that price will likely move but not to the explosive level that would be expedited if the lower band was hooking downward. The lack of the lower band hooking down limits the potential move here.

I use bollinger band indicator for scalping, I buy or sell when the candle is in the upper or lower line especially if it goes out of those line because it will come back inside the bollinger bands again for sure, then I take profit when it hits the middle line but sometimes earlier than that when I feel that it will not hit the middle line.

For scalping I think technical analysis is the best. We don't have to look upon what factors can bring the forex market down or up. We just need to know technically when the pips are going to be higher or lower. Then we should place our order and quit the position as soon as we hit the perfect profits.

i think that for scalping there is no need of doing fundamental analyses.as scalping is a trading in which we close the trade in very mins so there wont be time to do fundamental analyses.fundamental analyses is for traders who look out for trend and the market position.In scalping ,there is no use of trend.scalpers make profit even when the market is ranging.

For scalping, I just use fib, pivots, some times MACD to decide the key resistance and support point for price, then watch the market to determin which point is the reaction point. But I just get 10 pips every times, and the reward/risk ratio is too low, so I do not always do scalping.

Indicator to scalp: Use Moving Average and RSI. Set MA to 20 apply to close and second MA 30 apply to close. Use RSI and the MA for determine of when to buy and sell. Also look for when price will turn at pivot point.

If you scalp using only one indicator then you will always have problems in your trading because there will be no indicator to confirm your signals. It is always best to use two or three indicators to be sure of the signal you get for scalping.

I watched and monitored how many different FX robots work based on the scalping system. And I noticed that they used a very large lot for scalping, don't you think, that's too risky and later on, you may loose all of your capital?!

I don't believe on forex robot and I will never use robot in my future trading. yes scalping is most dangerous and you will lose your account with in seconds but I'm also a scalper and also trade with big lots but I never go long, only small pips 2 to 5 and then close position. this is up to now safe for me.

Waddah Attar can be used for scalping the small timeframes. It can work alone but it not advised to use it as such as there are instances where the signal lags or fails. So use this indicator along with your other indicators and use a trailing stop to catch some profits. in my scalping trades i uses bollinger band, parabolic sar and macd on 5-15mins time frame with 10-30pips, and with this indicators i try to spot out the best moves that will garantee me a winning trades.i love using the default macd with combinations of 2 indicators and they must co-responds before entering any trade even during news

Scalping needs short time charts and may use zigzag indicator and macd. but, i won't use these indicators and this method. I always do trading by day or long term trading. If you are beginner, then do trading in demo first and then try in live account.

So far, I just used the simplest indicator in forex scalping which is MACD since this is the first indicator I have learned in my first experience or learning of forex. I can say also that naked trading is also good strategy but I wanted to have MACD as it seems profitable and easier to understand. I use for scalping Indicator as BollingerBonds, RSI (14) Moment, Zigzag etc. Trend position is a kind of indicator from myself. Fluctuation position we know from the RSI and Fibonacci, It give me more information scale range that is over sold and over bought. If it oversold the range have under 20%. Over bought is upper from 80% and normal range 55%. Fibonacci give me retrenchment trade. If the trade go the mission trade. It will beck 38% maybe that's measure we know from the Fibonacci.
