What currency pairs would you suggest to start with as a beginner? Would you suggest to stick with the same pairs? Thanks a lot.

I think as a beginner its good to start with low movement currency pairs and for this EUR/USD is the best but at the same time have to ability to manage money mangement also . anyway if anyone continue with few pairs only for long time then its better for him and i also doing this from many days.

I feel that newbies should start trading with basic currency pairs like EURUSD,GBPUSD.
these 2pairs are really good and particularly EURUSD will have less spreads with some brokers and it is also less volatile.

its like asking from which dish i should start eating. lol
if you ask a japanese he will advice you EUR-JPY, USD-JPY, a briton will say GBP-USD a canadian USD-CAD
So its upto you. GBP-USD & EUR-USD are d most traded currency pairs so most people advice to start trading these pairs. but no hard & fast rule is there

I didn't use GBP/JPY because its spread is too high although its movement is good enough. I prefer to use GBP/USD
as my references because it's much lower spreads and its movement is fast enough for me.

yeah,, what you say true friends that the movement of the GBP / JPY spread is too high for me and I also traded on the pair EUR / USD and GBP / USD which I think has pretty good movement and the spreads are as low as 3 pips

I personally recommend for a newbie to trading on the USD / CHF pair because the movement is quite smooth unlike the pair GBP / USD that sometimes its movement back and forth in a fairly large range

It's better to use one or two pairs only for beginner to start in forex trading and I suggested to use EUR/USD, GBP/USD, or EUR/JPY as good pairs. I suggested to use them because all of them have low spreads (3 pips in IFX) and also they are volatile enough so we could get profits from good movement of those pairs. But I suggested to choose one as main pair and one as reserve pair, don't use more than 2 pairs in the first time.

Currency pairs to start with as a beginner?
What currency pairs would you suggest to start with as a beginner? Would you suggest to stick with the same pairs? Thanks a lot.
for a beginner should learn to pair the euro / usd and gbp / usd
because this key pair is mostly used by most traders
besides having a small spread, is also a great movement
but there is no harm in trying to learn all the pairs in a demo account, in order to understand the characteristics of all pairs, and can choose which is more suitable for him

nevertheless its also a very good idea to concentrate on one pair and then learn another. but it would be more interseting to concentrate on at least two and compare the currency movement also

yes, very dangerous for a beginner
where the price on the usd / chf always make a new low point
was the best stay in pair euro / usd and gbp / usd for beginners
although now the movement of this pair is not normal as usual
I guess because of the crisis that hit Europe now

i also think so , low movement currency is always good for newbie trader because if they do wrong than it may take time to loss but if they try with high movement currency then it may harm them within very short time and for this eur/usd pairs is best for newbie trader which was also mine when was newbie and still this is my best pairs.

actually if you want to use the trade practice we can choose the currency pair that has a low daily range of movement but due to the EUR / USD are many who have chosen to trade them from scratch so the couple is so popular

ye ek bahut bada reason hai jiski wajah se naye trader zada tar loss me jate hai
naye trader jaldi paisa kamane ke chakkar me gold me ya fir aur zada volatile pairs me paisa lagate hai jiska end result negative niklata hai
new comers ko sirf eur/usd me hi trade karna chahaiye

Yes, EURUSD would be a great choice just like USDJPY would be.
These two pairs are enough volatile, spread is low, liquid, and a lot of trader trade these.
Yes I also prefer EUR/USD and GBP/USD these pairs are good for newbies because every body can easily analyses these pairs and they move 200 to 300 pips daily.

euro and usd are widely used currency pairs around the world for business purpose.this makes this pair one of the most volatiate pair in forex market and i think this volatite nature of this pair makes it more attractive to the traders.

newbie should start with EURUSD and USDCHF....because eurusd is much volatile..News trends to have a heavy influence on Eur and Usd respectively, as the Eur is used by many countries
is quite true what you say because the movements of EUR / USD could make you do a good trade because they are more subtle movements compared with EUR / JPY which is relatively rugged and can move so big in seconds

for a beginner should learn to pair the euro / usd and gbp / usd
because this key pair is mostly used by most traders
besides having a small spread, is also a great movement
but there is no harm in trying to learn all the pairs in a demo account, in order to understand the characteristics of all pairs, and can choose which is more suitable for him

Yes, i agree with you. Beginners may try all the pairs in demo to know about the nature of movements. some varies according to spread and some according to swings. I am sure that most of the beginners will choose eur/usd pair. Because, it is suitable in all situations and for all traders.

For the new traders it will be better if they start with the EURUSD then they will be able to get the maximum advantage as it offers the volatile movements and the currency is easy to understand for most of the traders. But the main thing is that they should be able to make some profits in the trading on a long time basis.

You are right but these two pairs are not moving in the same direction from last few months so that it ill not helpful. USD/JPY is the pair which is roaming in the area 76-77 for last 1-2 month. We do not see lot of volatilitiy in that psir.

- USD/JPY
- EUR/USD
- GBP/USD
- USD/CHF
- USD/CAD
- USD/AUD
The reason is has small spread
every pair I have tried
all the pairs I've felt,
but I feel most comfortable and suitable is EURUSD, yhis pairs has a stable average daily range, these pairs are very familiar with the most traders and have high supply and demand between other pairs

most of the trading beginners are recommended to select the currency pairs with low spread such as EUR/USD, GBP/USD.I prefer EUR/USD currency pair,it has low spread and acceptable market movements.i get large profit with small lot sizes from EUR/USD pair.i will not wait for getting huge profit in every orders.

I just started my Forex trading with EURUSD pair, for the reason many suggested it as it has more volatility and obeying the fundamentals of trading. I also tested it's movement on the basis of pivot point analysis and concluded to start with EURUSD. Still now I just focus on this pair alone to win this Forex.

newbies should always trade with EURUSD and GBPUSD.its recommended one.because most of the website provides analyses and news about them. And trading currencies like NZDUSD is somewhat difficult as it has high spreads and prediction of reaction is difficult too.
I feel that newbies should start trading with basic currency pairs like EURUSD,GBPUSD.
these 2pairs are really good and particularly EURUSD will have less spreads with some brokers and it is also less volatile.
You are right but these two pairs are not moving in the same direction from last few months so that it ill not helpful. USD/JPY is the pair which is roaming in the area 76-77 for last 1-2 month. We do not see lot of volatilitiy in that psir.

Hello,
i think for newbies is the simplest way to start with usd/chf and eur/chf. Most of the time eur/chf ist in sideway projection and usdchf has not so zick zack corrections like eur/usd.
I find its the simpled pairs to trade.
GBP/USD is quote problematic because it jumps really from high to low and in the other way

I think EUR/CHF is quite better for beginners because its lower limit is set at 1.20 by SNB. Its movement is good and its trading is quite safer than other pairs. I don't recommend EUR/USD because of Eurozone crises.
SNP does not set the lower limit at 1.20 but they announce that below 1.20 they will start buying the currency themselves. But it does not mean that EUR/CHF will not come down below 1.20, it can come down below 1.20 any time. If investors confidence shakes then it can even come to 1.10 again, so don't be in any confusion and always put stop loss in all your trades.

For me, that was okay to trade with EUR/USD although Europe countries in crisis condition. It was same if you used EUR/CHF
because you used EURO too, am I right? I think profit and loss will depend on our analysis, not depending on condition in the market.
And also it is important to have good money management in any pairs that you used.
It's okay for me too to trade with pair EUR/USD for trading because it has good spreads and good movements. Besides, if there is crisis
in Europe countries then it will impact to almost all major pairs so it's okay to trade with major pairs. And also, there are many informations
about major pairs so it's okay to trade with EUR/USD.

I dont know on basis of which calculation you are saying this. First i tried few times but never got a leverage of more than 1:100 in gold, even if you manage to get this leverage your positions will not be able bear more than 1.6$ loss from your purchase price and remember u already in loss of 1$ due to spread u pay, gold is high volatile and 6 **** it move down or up without changing the short term trend. I would say trading with 1:1000 leverage in gold will live you with very little possibility of a winning trade.
Eur usd and Gbp usd is the best pair of all new trader. waise aagar aapke paas high balance ho toh koi bhi gold ka trade kar sakte he. par ha only low volume. maine bhi eu and gu se apna forex suru kiya tha. aur mere khayal se asbhi ne yehi kiya hoga sayad.

You can acctually trade with any pair that you like its very simple, just get into the market and analyse it the same way you would analyse the rest and work on it. but for a bigginer you can start with trades that cant give a head ache, just start with pairs like EUR/USD,GBP/USD,USD/CHF,USD/CAD and USD/JPY they usually seem to work well.

All currency pair are good. But major currency pair's have another reason of good. Every broker want to provide low spreed to Major currency pair. Among them EUR/USD special. Because almost all broker prove lower low speed on it. So A scalper trader can make a large number trade. A beginner trader many of time want to trading scalping. So I suggest to trade with EUR/USD. I prefer another pair for beginner, this name is USD/JPY. It's very reliable and comfortable. Although this price move slowly for that many trader feel boring. But possible to make much money. Yes, it's better to master one pair in a time so we can understand the characteristic of certain pair. It's easier to gain profits from pair
which we have known its characteristic. And then you can move to another pair as your choice, for learning new pair. If you want to use
one pair only, that was fine too.
I am agree with you. It will be better if you can master one pair one by one because it's easier to understand it with focussing in
one pair only than you used more than one pair. If you used multiple pairs directly, from my experience then it will be longer to
know characteristic each of them.

I agree with the opinion expressed by anlyssa and siberian - each pair has different behaviour and in order to succeed making profits we should understand the pair well, know its resistance and support levels and that is possible only if we deal in one or two pairs, dealing in many pairs may mess things.

I am agree with you. It will be better if you can master one pair one by one because it's easier to understand it with focussing in
one pair only than you used more than one pair. If you used multiple pairs directly, from my experience then it will be longer to
know characteristic each of them.
It is for us to decide whether we are trading in Multi pairs or just trading in one pair. And the main advantage of trading in one pair is that it will give us the ability to understand and focus on single currency pair and that will lead us into getting more information about the same. And with information and focus comes the profits.

One pair like the EUR/USD is good for the newbies to actually use it in trading. With concentration, currency pairs can be learned well and we deeply rely on it and trade with it in forex exchange trading.

What currency pairs would you suggest to start with as a beginner? Would you suggest to stick with the same pairs? Thanks a lot.
for a beginner in forex trading, you should choose the pair that have the small risk and easy to understand the character pair.
I think the pair USD / JPY pair that is suitable for beginners, as well as the risk is smaller (smaller spreads), are not too volatile and easy to understand his character.

i agree, we should focus first on one pair, so we can better understand the daily movement and get to know the right time to enter and exit the market, and we should choose a pair that do not get too aggressive, so we are much happier in forex trading.

yup, all pair what you post before is good for newbie trader because it pairs have small spread..
but i advice to newbie to trades in eur/usd or gbp/usd only. because they must focus in slight pair not in many pairs, so they can find the character of pairs if they focus on it pair.
to start trading in the forex market, we can choose any pair in accordance with what we want. but my advice is we should trade the pair are in liked many people like EURO USD. I suggest this because we are going to be easy to find friends and exchange strategy discussion
