many beginners can choose gold to start learning and trading as they think can make more pips from gold but I think that is not good idea since gold began to trade with the they need capital large

Gold pair is not a good option for any beginner. Why is that? We need to consider it high spread, and even many senior trader avoid high spread as their choice. Then, gold have little leverage that mean we need to deposit big money to trade here with safe risk.

currency trading in my view is not dangerous at all , the danger is created because of the investors who choose to create a lot investments with big plenty and big harnesses and that brings them to the greatest loss

I think the best currency pair for a beginner would be USD/JPY,its movement is very slow, for a beginner he need to know how to make pips and yet risk little, this is the only way he can live to trade another day and get more experience

i think it pair have a high spread and a beginner trader maybe wil use less capital too, so i think is not good option.
eur/usd and gbp/usd still the best pairs for beginner even for professional trader too.

Yes, EUR/USD and GBP/USD are good pairs for beginners and expert traders because those pairs have low spreads, good
daily movement, and many informations from many other traders. And also, there are many strategies which used those
pairs as recommended pair.

In beginning the trader should only concentrate on one pair and should not even think of trading on more than one pair as in the beginning the traders are less experienced and they are unable to handle the trade well. I think the traders at their beginning should trade on pair EURO/USD.

its like asking from which dish i should start eating. lol
if you ask a japanese he will advice you EUR-JPY, USD-JPY, a briton will say GBP-USD a canadian USD-CAD

So its upto you. GBP-USD & EUR-USD are d most traded currency pairs so most people advice to start trading these pairs. but no hard & fast rule is there

I didn't use GBP/JPY because its spread is too high although its movement is good enough. I prefer to use GBP/USD
as my references because it's much lower spreads and its movement is fast enough for me.

major pair is a suitable pair to be used by novice traders, and they can get a lot of analysis of the pair were in the forex market. with the number of traders who are also using the same pair, then we can talk to each other about how we are to do an analysis on that pair.

i suggest starting with major currencies as EUR/USD,GBP/USD as as they move in small range which protect you from sudden loss of money
with time try the other currencies.

I think that, too, major pairs, EURUSD and GBPUSD as it's easier to be analyzed, and the pair that has low spreads, so that we can be easier to get a trading profit in the transaction ..

Beginners should start trading with the popular currency pairs that are widely traded on the market daily. The 5 major currency pairs are the best option to start with. Again out of them only one pair should be choosed and practiced continuously for better success instead of selecting more pairs and getting confused.

It's been 6months since I started trading and that's still a beginner in my book. I still trade with basic currencies like EUR/USD and GBP/USD and when the market is quite predictable (for me personally) I opt for CHF/USD and EUR/JPY, but that's just me. I guess you should go for EUR/USD and GBP/USD if you're a beginner. :)

the best Currency pairs for a beginner is the eurusd because of it low movement

Come on.. You can not be serious, right? In a part you're true when you said that one of the best pair for beginner is EUR/USD. But, then you make a big false when you said that this pair has low movement. Or, Are you sure about that? Many traders set EUR/USD as their main favourite pair. But, of course itsn't about its slow movement, but opposite with that, it's because its fast and dynamic movement.

CAD/CHF bhai mere hisaab se beginner ke liye best nahi hai, beginner ko sirf ushi pair par haath dalna chahiye, jo jayda popular ho, jaise ki EUR/USD, ye pair ek dum best hota hai, iska use bade se bade trader, aur beginner dono hi karte hai.:)

Nothing currency is created for beginner. Forex is really high risk investment. Everyone who entry this kind of market will understand how forex will bring you to your glory or you do not have good knowledge and study, forex will bring you to disaster. Try to understand the risk before you try to join. All instrument in forex is upredictable, All currencies is bond one with another. If you thinking there one pairs is created for newbie, that was wrong. Nothing is forex created by accident. Learn and study is the key to get survived.

I do recommend AUD/USD my friend. Since although it has high volatility, if you look deeper AUD/USD actually is the easiest one to analyze. Since AUD/USD is consistent, most movement in AUD/USD are certain (The trend is clear). Unlike, other major pairs such as EUR/USD, GPB/USD, USD/JPY which are less volatile yet harder to analyze.

i think ; EUR/USD is the best pair to start with as a beginner. The movement of this pair neither slow nor very high but it is good for trading because its movement prediction is easy and its spread is low. but now this pair is not quite stable and many times, it was affected by condition economic . Good Lck with Hard work

if my own for beginners all the pair they could use in their home early trading ready to study the character of the currency because the currency's all have in common and we can for the benefit of our trade

Further good movement is visble in this pair since last some time now so there looks good potential trading Eur/Usd

As a beginner, always start with EUR/USD pair. That is the most traded pair and easy to understand as a beginner. Once you are comfortable with that, you can shift to USD/CHF. USD/CHF is also relatively easy to predict. Avoid JPY pairs initially. It will be mostly range bound and break off only once in a weak or so. JPY pairs will test the patience and is not suitable for beginners. GBP pairs have higher spreads. Other than that, it is easy to identify the trend.

I find that all three pairs EUR/USD GBP/USD and USD/CHF can be profitable for a new trader because they are very fast and usually in a very low pip difference almost in all brokers. Other reason of selecting these pairs is that people in a large number are trading in these pairs you can find some professional traders to get some help in trading !!

As usd is the best and common currency so we must need to take any best combination with USD. Secondly we may try with the best values pair like Euro/USD. Because this pair's pips can increase up-to 150 and it's average movement between 50 pips to 60 pips. But sometimes we need to change our combination due to market movement.

For a Forex beginner i suggest the EURUSD Pair because-The EURUSD is the most widely traded pair, and therefore it carries the highest volume of all currency pairs, this also means it is the most liquid, which is another reason I prefer it over its correlated counter-parts. No pair is better than another because all the pairs subject to the same fundamentals of analysis, whether technical or fundamental, but the difference between them is according to the capital that you speculated tags, there are pairs need to capital-intensive as the Range of movement is much like Gbp/Jpy, and there are pairs another rate risk where Less because the speed is slow to some extent, such as EUR/USD

for starters I think it is safe to play in the long term trading and a pair of the most easy to master, a sort of AUD / USD and EUR / USD.

yup, that's right! then the most appropriate strategy is price action with a higher timeframe trading or long term, because of the higher time frame, the easier it is to read. better mastered first placement support and demand, search pinbar and understand candlestick pattern. good article: D

play long term in my opinion is safer for beginners.

Identify the characteristics that typically includes daily range, sensitivity to line pivot-support-resistance, sensitivity the pair to news and other . you also need to know the characteristics of the indicators used to analyze the pair.

I think the best Currency pairs to start trading with as a beginner is major pairs :
- USD/JPY
- EUR/USD
- GBP/USD
- USD/CHF
- USD/CAD
- USD/AUD

The reason is they have small spread and high liquidity most of the times.

I think USD/JPY, USD/CHF, and USD/CAD are not major pairs but those are cross pairs. Major pairs which I know are EUR/USD, GBP/USD and AUD/USD only. I think it's good for all beginners to start trading with major pairs because there are many traders who used major pairs as pair for their strategies and it's possible if the strategy was suitable with us.

What currency pairs would you suggest to start with as a beginner? Would you suggest to stick with the same pairs? Thanks a lot.

I suggest trading in the pair EUR / USD wrote. According to some observers EUR / USD currency pair is better than the GBPUSD traded. Movement is 3/4 of his GBPUSD. By adding SMA 10 & 20, we can make decisions Buy & Sell. Fundamental news that often appears to EUR is at 16.00 & 18.00 pm for Medium & High Impact. For the USD is at 19:30 to 22:00 pm for all categories of Medium & High Impact.

I advice that you use eur/usd. its because eur/usd is the most analysis and most checked pair in the world and its also the biggest pair in term of volume and the volatility is also good and the spread is also one of the lowest. But I do agree that you can use any pair that you want as long you know and understand the pair. It all depends of the currency pair you love to trade. Though as a newbie you may not have interest in a particular pair for the start, but with time, when you are able to see how some of when moves, you may want to prefer one to others. And if you discover that you are making good profits from a particular pair, you may just stick to that pair alone. It's not a crime.

These pairs not sound good for beginners because these pair have a lot of news releases daily and a beginner can,t understand the impact of news well nor he can avoid these news because of lack of information and knowledge. Although there is lots of currency pairs offered to Forex traders, if you are a beginner it is easier to start with major currency pairs:
EUR/USD
GBP/USD
USD/JPY
There are several good reasons for that:
1. These currency crosses are widely traded, thus providing liquidity which is needed in order to benefit from price changes.
2. They have tight spreads, except may be for GBP/USD, which most of the time receives higher spread quotation from Forex brokers as it is more volatile (e.g. has wider price ranges than other pairs).
3. They all are traded against US dollar, which automatically suggest that the most active trading hours would be during New York trading session the session with the highest volume of trades.
4. And finally, there are many Forex trading systems that are developed for trading those pairs and can be found online.
What currency pairs to avoid?
Exotic and uncommon currency pairs should be avoided by novice Forex traders as some further knowledge is needed to trade such pairs successfully.

First as a newbie we should check what we are ready to lose in every position, when you have identified this we need to find a pair that you would trade without compromising the risk easily, for me high volatility pairs will mean high risk of like 50+ pips, for a low risk like 30 pips i would very much recommend usd/jpy because it is slow and the risk is quite low, remember we are focusing on learning to survive in the market first and the less we risk the more we survive and the more we learn how to be consistent in profit making

All you have to do is stick with one pair first, learn about it's habit, feel it's movement, when that pair usually will going move fast, when will going sideway, etc. Trading is a skill, so the main thing that you have to do is make your eyes and your brain think automatically about one pair's action.

I think that every currency paires having their owners importances but its depend on trader that how they can get the study and which currency paires are choosed for theirs real trading but there are so many things which are important for trading forex markets !!!

Even if all pairs (especially major pairs) have good potential to bring us our profit, but not all of them will be suitable for beginner. That will be very depended on what style we will use. Some of us love to trade in long-term purpose and steady major pair will be best for them. And if somebody love to trade in short-term goal that he/she must be love to use high volatile pairs like EU and GU.
