I mostly try my best to follow just one or two pairs based on JPY because JPY is always volatile. GBP/JPY and EUR/JPY are usually the forex pairs that i use to engage in a long term analysis in this business.

I think the reason about your failure in trade with double pairs was not really about too many pairs to trade and disturbing your focus or something like that. I think it because you do not use proper money management and without any good considering about risk management. We can trade double pairs at once as long as we know about their nature and we always use strict money management. ANd, that actually works for me till now.

I try my best to avoid confusions in my trading in forex markets, this is because these pairs can confuse me. I take my pair trading one after the other and i take my trades one opened and then i follow it till it closes before i open another one.

It's better to use one pair until master it well then it's possible to move on learning to another pair so at least, there is stable income before using another pair. Like I know, one strategy can work well to one pair, it can be used to another pair but it will be better if there is modification to each pair. So, don't use too many pairs with only one strategy.

After you can master certain strategy then you can learn to trade with another pairs. I think it's better to learn one by one pair so it can focus more on learning the characteristics of a pair than I should learn more than one pair at a time. Once you can master certain strategies you can learn to trade with the other pairs. Usually one of the strategies can be used both for one's spouse, maybe you can use it for other couples who have a correlation with slight modifications.

there are many pairs in forex market, but i think it is the best for traders to target on some pairs. I only use 3 basic pairs for trading. Eur/ Usd , gbp/ Usd and Aud/ usd. to me these pair are the most profitable pairs for making pips.
