i will recommend 1% for any beginner in the trading world to start with and never to exceed 10% even when u are a professional, because there is nothing that says you can never be wrong in the market and the market is always right.

I don't think it is a matter of which lot size is good for a beginner, what determines your lot size is the amount your invested in this market. If your investment is small, then you go for a mini account with small lot size. but if you invest big, you can go for a big lot size.

if we use 100$ for equity, we can divide 100 : 200 pip = 0.5 lot
with 0.5 lot we never get margin calls..
if we are not sure, we can use take profit to set the profit.
