A fraudulent foreign exchange broker has pleaded guilty to running a ponzi scheme to con his clients out of more than $7 million.

The Australian Dollar is trading sharply lower on Wednesday in response to renewed concerns about U.S.-China trade negotiations. After posting a mostly sideways trade throughout the session on Tuesday, sellers re-emerged late in the session after Bloomberg reported that Chinese officials are pushing back against U.S. demands in trade talks. The Wall Street Journal reportedly separately that trade talks between the two sides will resume next week in an attempt to strike a deal.

The Euro found buyers during the trading session on Monday as we sliced through the 50 day EMA. That’s a very bullish sign, not to mention the fact that we took out the highs from the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday sessions. Any time you do that in one candle, it typically means that you have further to go. It was a quiet affair in Asia this Monday, with softer tone around the greenback lifting the sentiment across the fx space, as markets expect the Federal Reserve (Fed) to remain accommodative on its monetary policy stance in the week ahead. Among the G10 currencies, the Antipodeans benefited the most from a broadly weaker greenback, as the 2% rally in iron-ore prices combined with the risk-on action in the Asian equities also collaborated to the upbeat tone. The Aussie extended its rally and conquered the 0.71 handle while the Kiwi headed back towards the 0.6900 level.

NEW YORK, March 19 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar slipped against a basket of major currencies on Tuesday, as concerns over the U.S. economy and expectations that the Federal Reserve will prove accommodative at a meeting this week weighed on the greenback.

The Euro continues to grind higher, but we are getting to the roughly “fair value” area of the overall consolidation, with the 1.12 level on the bottom as support, and the 1.15 level as resistance above. Since we are right in between the two, I would anticipate that there is a lot of noise in this area, so quite frankly as it is a 50-50 shot, I don’t have any interest in placing a trade. However, there are couple of guidelines that I’m willing to pay attention to set up the next trade.

Unlike NZDCHF, AUDCHF has performed quite well. Earlier, the cross rate ended consolidation around 0.7427 and began to rally. At time of writing, AUDCHF is testing resistance 0.7477. On the hourly chart, technical indicators suggest bias is strongly bullish but RSI is too high above 70, suggesting overbought state. Therefore, AUDCHF is more likely to face correction and drop back in short term.
