Bollinger bands is a great indicator in forex. I used it once as the core part of my strategy but now i use it to identify the trend. When price is above the middle bollinger bands line i take it to be that price is uptrend and vice versa. The core of my strategy is now trend line and bollinger bands is used to gauge the trend.

No doubt in that the bollinger band is a good indicator but there is a different problems occurs while you are using the bollinger band in your trade because it provides the false signals some times and it is really harmful for your trade.

bhai Bollinger band achcha indicator to hai, lekin agar aapko ye indicator samjh mein aa raha hai, to aap is indicator se trading kar sakte hai, indicator se trading karne ke liye aapko indicator ki jaankari honi bahut jaruri hota hai.

yes i agree whith you i only know to use bollinger bands indicater when the market is sideway but how do i read a trending markeet will bythis indicater and will be brofit by bollinger band

I am not conversant with the bollinger band thing because i have used the indicator before. But i do use stochastic oscillator to determine the overbought and the oversold conditions.

Bilkul sahi kaha aapne, mostly trader bollinger band ka use kark sahi trend ka pata karke trading karte hai, main bhi bollinger band ka use karta hoon, lekin main hamesha M15 par hi use karta hoon.

hanji bhai kaafi traders bollinger band ko use karke trading karna pasand karte hai kyunki bollinger band se hume sahi trend ka kahi baar pata hal jaata hai aur mai bhi esko hei apni trading par use karta hoon,mai m5 or m15 dono hei time frame par esko follow karta hoon..
