1) patience- this is a must
2) knowledge- you must learn the market, make sure you know all about it. You need to know all about technical and fundamental analysis along with money management.
3) practice- do not forget, this is the largest market in the whole world, so if you 'think' you can survive without practice and you think you know everything you are wrong
4) mastering emotions- one must learn to control their emotions, acquiring a traders psychology is a must
5) gain experience- experience is money in the fx market. One will ultimately master in decision making and consistency on gaining proper knowledge and experience.
Theser are not the mistakes the newbies make but these are the essentials they ignore. So if they follow these, surely they will succeed
