Yes definitely if someone is just doing his own work then he can judge himself that how better he is doing, but when he participate in competition, he will come to know that how good he is doing and his confidence level goes higher.

I think for Forex forum is participate in the competition is a good idea because they did not need a lot of dollars to participate and can earn them a lot, we find, for example, such as competition Forks where the monthly draw may be able to get the dollars...

I too never win in any contest and that is sometimes make trader more unconfident even the skill improve very well.

If you don't know about the Forex market and Forex trading system .... I think it can make you poor. Just take it easy. But if you are an expert then you can recover you loses all the time.

hello friend, I am a student and I trade in forex. I trade forex business besides my study as a part time business. so there is not hamper of my study for forex!! when I get free time, I sit on front of computer and spend with forex. if I leave to forex business, then my study will be stopped!!! because I carry of my study cost from profit of forex business

i knew that join in a contest can increase my skill, but i also know that so may great traders ou there that also join it. i never win a contest, even in top 20 highest position. maybe because there are many better trader than me join it

I think that in demo account we have no fear of loosing and so we are ignoring the major factor in trading which is emotion.
But if we are fighting a competition, than we have an obligation to perform better than others, so we can also practice our emotional behaviour there, i also thgink that .

there are definitely advantages but your confidence will only be increased when you are making profits and even winning something in the competitions. If all you are getting is losses from time yo time, then your confidence will even fall the more.

Competition will only make us hunt a profit only and get the biggest gain as we can. In contest and other competition, we often ignore about money management and get consistence profit. In this case, we will earn nothing from this contest. We will only have bad trading control if we blend both for learning and be a participant in forex tournament. We are better focus only in our learning to have better skill and experience to trade.

i think competitions help a little bit in quality of trading because give good priize , but you should to use mini account's first
