For me i see no reason to try turning a losing trade to a winning trade, I am more interested in making sure that when i open a trade, I allow it to run until my take profits is hit by it.

although i am new one but dear i agree with you that its good to do the trade with a small amount and in case of loss there is not a huge loss so its better to do the trade with small size.

It is highly recommended for a beginner, if we start trading are advised to start trading with small size because with this kind we can avoid big losses and can begin the process of learning and adaptation to the market.
