to double the amount of your account balance is depending to how much lots and how much the amount of balance that you have in your account trading. if you have $100 balance, and you are open trade in euro/usd pair with amount of lots 0.1 you may need 100pips to make double your account balance. but, all of that is so much risk because the amount of lots is so big and risky. in my opinion, trading is not about make your balance to double, but how to make a small consistent profit everyday and keep growing your account.
