There are no fixed time. Everyone has their own time, depending on how fast you learn and how confident you are. It is not about time, but it is about abilities and skill that must you have from demo account. You have to learn about price action, learn about when a currency pair usually going run fastly, and the most important thing is to find your trading system and strategy that suitable with you.

demo trading only to train technical analysis, for me it does not need long trading on a demo account, because it will cause the over confidence. because we could never learn to set up our emotions in a demo account. I am recommend that you can practice directly on a real account by using the lot and small capital.

yes i agree with you view. it is depend on trader to trader. if any trader who think that he is not ready for real account and may be feel that not able to make profit in real account then he must trade in demo account. in my view if we are taking serously and trading with a proper way then six month are enough.

Demo account are always good for trying new strategies. you will be trading in real market but not with real money. so it is a very big opportunity for us to improve our-self confidence. so l advice you will never stop demo trading.

Like what I believe, that we should not quit use demo account as our part of trading activities. Demo account does a good opportunity for us to keep improving and developing our system times after times. So, even if we are already trade for years, demo trading will be always useful sometimes.

i think a trader needs at least 3-4 month to learn fundamental concepts of forex like technical analysis, fundamental analysis, hedging, position trading, understanding news feeds etc. he should practice everything beside learning in demo account. then he have to develop his own strategy to employ it in real trading. considering all of this i think a trader should spend at least three months in demo trading before he starts real trading.

Good question . what i think , there is no limit of gaining experience in Forex market . someone should go on the demo unless and until he or she is not satisfy with with it . it can be better if someone carries both the real treading and the demo as well at the same time .

Forex is a international famous currency trading market, and so much risky business also. want to overcome the risk then you have to know the forex fundamental and need more knowledge about forex and strategy. so i think only demo account can get trading skill in forex. so you should trade in demo account at least 6months before live trading.
