the idea of starting with $1000 is really good! in that case if you consider your lot volume 0.50 unit then you will have 2000 pips backup. i think 2000 pips is more than enough for safe trading. if someone have such back up than he would never need to close his trade in loss. so i am really appreciating your idea. it's really a strong money management plan, remain sticky to it always.

There is no specific amount one need to invest in foreign exchange trade. Some foreign exchange brokers provide micro and mini account, this help to open account with as low as 100USD. But in my own opinion, foreign exchange trade need huge capital. If one can be able to raise a huge capital i think he will make much profit after every successful trade.
