Actually it would be a more slicing definition of scalping as you put it ... scalping depends on 20 or so pips ... though on shorter time frames like 5M and 15M this ratio decreases down to as you put it 1,2 or 5 points. But please remember scalping is, in effect, exactly the opposite of trend trading. In trend trading you open up multiple positions one by one and at last the trend goes into motion and that one final trade brings back all your losses and then earns some netting you in profit. While in scalping on such shorter scale could bring you consecutive wins of 2-5 pips but a single loss could wipe out all your profits and even chip off some of your capital. So be very much wary of the dangers ... scalping is more proficient on 1H ... try it on even bigger time frames like 1H, 4H and you will be happy with results.

As we said before that the scalping is just a way to pip the pips, it is most of the times harmful for the trader as I think, though it has some benefits but I think it has more pitfalls then the benefits , so try to trade with you own manual logic and strategy.
