well, personally in forex I do consider trailing stop is better than stoploss take profit method. There are two advantages which i learn using this trailing method. The first is trailing is more easy to use, trailing no need to modified many times like stoploss , they always follow the running price so, it's more comfort. The second is stoploss can't lock your profit. This is different with trailing who can automatically lock profit.

well actually my dear I consider that let the winners run but to secure my position I always secure my stops once the profit goes beyond 50-100 pips because it will help you to conquer the market with little profit but over all will be in profit so this is the best advantage for me but I will not say trailing stop but stop loss in profit for me and it works like a charm.
