its all about your trading plan , if you do swing then you play on small lot and with no risk more than 5% or 10% and the win be near or more 20% , if you do scapling then you play small pips with bigger lot size and reasonable stop loss then small amount of pips daily can be more than enough , just stay away from big risk.

20 pips a day this big enough if we able to make consistent profit from it. but if you still not able to make consistent profit better you try to take as much as you can so whenever you got loss you still able to cover the loss and still have bigger profit than the loss. but if you already able to make consistent profit i think 20pips a day is good enough, and remember to keep use good money management setting
