Do we need to watch our open positions to make sure we don't go to loss.

I forgot to close my trade and very next day I did not get any chance to view my trade. And later when I got to my trade all my money was gone. If I had been there keeping constant eye upon the trade, perhaps I will not be broke. So what do you all do? When you have to go for any urgent jobs, would you leave the trade open?

It used to happen to me in few months ago. My suggestion is you should set up your TP and SL with good money management on certain level of price, just in case you have to do many urgent things and you cannot keep an eye on your trading.

i always suggest to place SL and TP limits. because in forex, no one can say how high or low a pair could move. an open trade is nothing but suicide. who knows whats gonna happen tomorrow. its always better to trade safe.

indeed there is nothing wrong if we continue to monitor price movements when we are OP, figuring we could take certain decisions in certain circumstances. and also does not matter if we do not look at price movements exist, as long as we've put the TP and SL are also clear.

Yes my friend main Forex business mey newbie hoon aur main ek small capital ke saath trade kar raha hoon issiliye main apney open positions ko continuously watch kartey rehta hoon aur mera trade jab tak conclude na ho jaye main rest nahi karta.Main ek short term trader hoon issiliye main zyada time tak apna trade open rakhney ka risk nahi leta.

we do not need to be watching out open positions all the time because when you do that then you are not enjoying the freedom that comes with trading in the forex market at all because with the forex market you are suppose to be in a rest after you must have placed your trades because scalping in the forex market is a stressful way of doing forex business.

As i am a swing trader that's because i trade for long time and try to open my trade as i cant see my condition. Yes when i get time and stock-exchange opening time i try to see market condition. I think we all need to see market condition and analyze it for future decision. Then i think its good for trading.

Well this is what most of the trader do. I would like everyone to set Stop Loss and Take Profit on every open positions. Its not possible to keep eye on open positions continuesly all the day, so it is mandatory to put SL and TP so that you can assure yourself that you won't get more loss than wht you have set to get.

Not necessarily because we already have two features in the terminal that are the Take profit and the Stop loss which after setting we don't have to watch our positions.
