I agree with you that long term trades or position trades are safer than short term trades as markets can move few pips here and there in short term but in longer term they follow a direction and it is important to trade in that direction for longer run. However one needs to do proper analysis for the same before they take their position .

when newyork is on and where the big deal counts
it is kinda good to trade in that time frame , i experienced that

Although forex is 24 x 5 markets and trading opportunities are there at each point of time and traders need to analyze the markets first to see in which direction to perform the trade but still the best time according to me is time when London markets open and also when New York markets open and merge with London markets as that time volatility is more .

For me I wanna to say that the traders use Forex time divers. Most of 1 hour of the concessionaire, as well as some times as longers. In fact, I personally used as some times longers. My partners and I can choosed to be zig-zag- the real cannibals !!!

Thanks for asking me this question . As i am a student so i have taken forex trading as my part time job so i do not find a lot of time to spend in forex .actually i spend 3-4 hours in a day .i think it is enough for me.
