That's right. Scalping is strategy which need low time frame like M5 or M15 Time Frame because scalping should make quick decision in sideways condition so it's better to look on M5 or M15 to know the current condition in the market. If we use higher time frame, the signal won't be too accurate because the candlestick is not showing short time movement.

By scalping method of trading,a trader trades with small lot and for a very short time.When the perfect time comes a trader enters a trade and after making profit he closes the trade.By this way he can make small profit and if loose in a trade he has to loose small amount.To apply this method you should have enough knowledge on entry time and out time.

I don't think if scalping is very helpful for any traders although he is short time trader too. I don't like to hold position for more than a day, I can be said as short time trader too but I can't trade with scalping well. In my experiences, my winning is always lower than losing condition when I did scalping. It's not easy to gain only 5-10 pips in each transaction because I should do it in sideways condition.
