sir my first year of trading. It's recommended to use it, since it has many variations that you can try, but the most advantage of using MA is it's easiness in setup. it only use periods to help you determine the trend movement. It's crossing strategy has many variation, you can search in google. But you must remember that too short period can give you fast signal but mostly is fake, while too long period can give you more accurate signal but sometimes you already being late to enter the momentum, that's why this indicator called a lagging indicator. So make sure you try all setting that you think fit you most. after all, it's only a matter of comfortableness.

I am agree that we should trade only best indicators. There are lots of indicators which do not meet the promises that they promise. That is why we should only trust those which are best proven so that we will not face loss in future trades.

I am not knowledgeable nigh momentum unmoving indicators so far and i mortal not utilised these in my trading always . But i agree moving averages are worth to be followed . i move these points while deciding to trade as they act as good support or resistance points.

I think moving average, RSI and bollinger band is most important indicator for beginner trader. Moving average shows the trend and RSI shows the overbought and oversold condition and bollinger band shows the volatility. With the help of these any one easily find trend and open the trade at right time. This should be practice in demo account before live trading.
