well to control greed you should stick to the target that you choose in your strategy. I think it is the best way to control the emotions like greed. Greed affects traders in many ways because in the process of being greedy you may lose huge sum of money that would make you to encounter a margin call and you will definetly lose your account that is why we must strive to avoid all sort of greed whenever we are trading forex.

greedy, could be a positive thing, as long as you can control your greed. positive and how greedy it? suppose by chance you buy and your position 50 pips profit, and on the condition that you still see the potential price could still go up, then you do buy again, to set the last two positions with stop loss 25 pips range, meaning if the stop price to 2 your loss, the worst risk is the BEP. and if you can accept that condition, and do buy, then you have to be greedy controlled. and if the price is really up, you will get a double profit .... but you should still keep a stop loss so that no fatal errors that resulted in your loss.
