I always use a demo account as a comparison to enter the market. if a position in a positive trading account, it will open trade in accordance with the position in the demo. but if a negative position in the demo, I would consider the entry against the demo account.

greed, fear and over-trade, the problems related to emotional control. although we are well practiced strategy in a demo account, but to exercise control of our emotions should practice with a real account. because only a real account, we can practice to control emotions. perhaps for the first time using a real account you can use a small capital account first in cents.

yes you are right, there are no standards should be how long we practice on a demo account. as long as we have not been able to master the strategies that we learned we still have to keep practicing on a demo account.
