demo trading also known as paper trading is a must for new to forex traders. newbies should practice as much as possible at least 6 months before they get hand on real money. the market is dynamic if one does not properly practice he/she has 95% chance to blow the first account as done by forex traders until now.

Funny enough, demo trading is for everybody and not for the new traders alone. For me anytime I have a new strategy to test, it is the demo that I must use and not my real account

actually i don't think that demo trading is prerequisite but yes demo trading practice can help us for making decision and testing or revealed our strategy ..we should practice enough time in demo for become mature .without demo practice it's possible to make continuous profit in real field but i think demo practice can be more effective

Yeah i agree with you that demo trading is important because its better to get good experience by losing fake money while in real account you will get experience by losing your real money. So demo trading is more suitable for learning purpose.
