Sideways Market Filter

Thank You for this Sideways Filter indi. I've been lookin for good indicator for this particular case for some time now. Learned on this forum about Bollinger bands can do the trick!! I am going to study on it bit more now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys

That is right. This indi must have combined with bollinger band to give better result. I think using this indicator to watch sideway is not enough. because sometime the signal we get is different from market condition. Filter it with bollinger band as your entry point. It has give some significant result.

thanks for sharing indicator. that can be given as well as pictures do the open position so it does not create confusion for those who want to learn. and for using this indicator how it works. This is used when when? and TF were used as well as how many pairs you just fitting??

Here is a method for sideways market filteration. Indicator is attached below.

OrangeLines is from the indicator
Pink line is 144EMA.

Usage: If price is between orange and pink line then market is sideways. Also if Pink line is flat or horizontal then market is going sideways.

This is just a tool one can incorportate in their trading logics to filter out bad signals.

Sideway market filter indicator can detect sideway market. Good indicator i hope. But i don't need it cause i trade on big time frame. So It is no matter for me if market is trending sideway.

Traders trend are being seen for the forex trading. In my view it works best on higher time frame only.

thank you, this information is very useful. This is a good indicator for the type of scalping? because, occasionally I use scalping on a sideways market.
