What are looking for in a good broker?

1. no slippage
2. small spreads on majors
3. ability to put trailing entry orders, OCO, If/Then etc.
4. per lot limit/stop loss orders
5. less then $1k minimum starting account size
6. easy to deposit/withdraw funds (no transaction fee for that)
7. preferably 'no-java' platform but it's low priority

I like your list of what should be looked for in a good broker but as for point number 5, I think that it is way too high to say that hte minimum account size should be less than 1k minimum, the minimum start up capital shouldn't be more than $50 since traders might want to practice with a cent account.

first of all the broker have to be regulated.and they must have low spreads and good customer service.and the execution speed must be fast and always online.the deposit and withdrawal must be within 24 your specially if for the e-currencies.some brokers will let you wait almost 1 week to get your funds to your liberty reserve.the honest and trusted broker will have future in this market.that is why l prefer insataforex even before l join to this forum last 3 years.
