It is right that those were our own decisions which yeilded to loss, but no one is perfect and being human we are poised to do some mistake, better to learn from these and not to repeat. Yeah we should learn to control on our emotions to be a better trader.

Learning from your mistakes is getting more experienced. If you are learning then you will be earning at some stage of your trading career. But if you are repeating the same mistakes over and over again, then you can never make success on the long terms in forex trading.

yes, other than to control their emotions well, to be a successful trader you must also have good money management as well. apart from that we also have to study hard and learn from the mistakes we've ever done. if we can learn from any mistakes we do, then we can become a successful trader

The Greed and Fear inside our mind are the real instincts in our mind that make ourselves a real enemy in trading to defeat us. The more we become greedy the less we do the proper analysis and become impatience to wait for the right entry point thereby resulting in loss.

Yes of course i am agree with you. But did you notice other then fear and greed there are also other emotions that effect trading. That are over confidence , hope and expectations. You said that control yourself, and these thing are also important to control and never overlooked them

The thread title is exactly true, we are our own enemies because each and every wrong decision is made by us. We do mistakes ourselves. Forex is the business that needs a great deal of knowledge and experience in a trader, now it is our mistake that we start trading without proper knowledge and education.

A trader who trades manually and is solely responsible for all his losses and you can not say the trader is the enemy of himself. It is the normal human behavior that a man gets confused under pressure but with good knowledge every thing can be normalized.

When we say that yourself is the true enemy, it means that you are the only one that can defeat yourself in forex trading if you enter the market unprepared. So when you have an enemy what do you do? You look for way to eradicate the enemy so that you will have a free way to move.
