As for me, I prefer higher time frames because they help to filter the noise that is present in lower time frames. Higher time frames are mainly used by day traders and swing traders while lower time frames are mainly used by scalpers.

I am comfortable with bullish trend and i feel that most of the market cheers when bulls are in and everyone is scared of bears. there are some traders who make money in bearish market too, but i find it easy and comfortable to be with bulls.

According to the general system, we can follow any trend which is settled for a certain period. This could be a uptrend or a downtrend. We just need to follow the trend according to the position and nature of the market.

Even if you are trading the trend in M15 that is also the trend in H4, Such kind of traders have nothing to do with H4 so better to use it for taking direction and watch on lower time frames then your trades will be good but opposite to that can cause you loss at most of the times.
