Short term forex trading or Long term forex trading?

I think you should be long term in forex business, you should gain a little but consistent, use good money management..
if you are short term maybe you need to master the psychology is better because you may be playing a short distance and quick.

I think it depends on whether the trader is short / long term trading is important you can manage your time and be able to profit consistently successful in trading.

not necessarily short term trading is that scary buddy coz in short term trade you need to keep focus on the trend and also incoming news updates, you can even gain with short term trade yes but not how much you can on a long term trade but you can benefit

even i use D1 chart for long term trades which i finish up by the end of the week or couple of days, and also sometimes peek into H4 chart to get a preview if so but never go to any else of the charts coz it just increses the confusion and also a lot bad for long term trade

short term trade is good coz we can sit there enjoy some pips and then take off but in long term trade we need to have a lot more attention on fundamentals and market news and also long term trade requeires some strategy to pull good hand some amount of profit from it.

it does not matter if you trade short term or you trade long term as long as you are collecting profits, earning profits is more important, trade using whatever time frame that floats your boat, riding a good trend is the key

investors / traders make decisions for the long term is trading today and hold the position until the next day or even 10 years later, where they must have a purpose / goal wise. Investors / traders usually have long-term specific goals, for example, to educate their children or to prepare for a better future. And investment options are so numerous, from forex, index and commodities.

While the investor / trader short term may be more interested in the excitement that occurs when a trade - to buy / sell every day - and tend not to have committed to targets within 5 or 10 years.

But outside of those two things, the important thing is ourself must determine what categories of behavior that fits with our style.

yeah..that's true it must depend on person to person that which type of trading behavior fits he or she most.. because as you told cumil lots of people invest in long-term for their plans of future like needs returns for theirs kids high studies or some deposit after their retirement so that they will live happily life after their retirement....And those trader will have other job too..they are not just depend on forex market only..while short-term trader are those who generally earn money for their living beings.. such type of trader some daily profit..because forex is like job for them and most of such trader not have other work..just depend on forex only.

Long term trading is best option over forex market..but if you need to cover your losses sometime, then you will go for short term trading which i will generally do for getting quick profit but not always using short term trading because sometimes its comes out dangerous when we do over trading.

I am trading with plan,trading with knoledge,analysist review and then trading for long term.short term trading gives you fastest money but it takes short term all of your money.
