Short term forex trading or Long term forex trading?

I think short term trading is profitable, but it is not good for success in life.Long term trading is more preferable to me than short term trading.Short term trading is good for them who have small capitals.They earn a lot of money in a day and also make losses.Finally they loss their accounts.Traders who have huge capital don't usually perform short term trading.They want to make profit for ever.So they wait after trading and make their capitals bigger and bigger.

It depends upon your strategy, experience and capital. If you are a day trader, you have good experience and big capital then you should take long trade. On the other hand if you are scalper then you should follow short trade.

mostly i do short term trade.in long time trade time is taking too much. i think to be a long term trader one must have lot of time to spend.but it is not possible to me now.

i am on the same situation with you i also trade short term because i don't have enough capital to trade long term
and also i don't have the time to wait for big pips. i follow the principle of intra-day traders and that is "it is better to catch small pips here and there than to wait for the big pips".
10 to 20 pips everyday is easier to find than 100 pips, right?
