Though I am a novice here in forex market, but I guess both of these trading are fully supportive depending on the trader�s mentality. Some people, who guys are brisk, may prefer short time trading .But, those who are foresighted, may prefer the long time forex trading .Because they are comparatively more factual minded.

good trading is trading in the short term, for what you can earn big money in this trading style, and that's Scalping Strategy, but the long-term trading is very risky, for you must have a great capital and make trading with a small lot, and do a Take Profit of 100 pips.

Different traders have different trading styles and for some trader short term trading is profitable and for some long term trading. I feel long term trading is more profitable. A trader must stick to his trading style and do whatever he feels is good for him.

I see more long-term trading can provide a fat profit, but we need a substantial capital if we want to implement a long-term trading. this in order to maintain the security of our money in the account....

Short term or long trem trading depends on investor's stratagy. For long term trading you must have good patience so that you can wait for your targeted profit.while mostly small investors usually trade for short period.

I type intraday. style I use is scalping. I do not like to wait a long time because I have a lot of time in front of the chart. My daily terget dalah 20 Pip, unlike the long term as 50 Pip. I prefer a small but consistent profits.

Some times the markets change direction due to its risky and unpredictable nature and when a trader is already in a trade and for short term and the trend moves in his favor for long time then it is better to stay in the same trade for a longer period of time to earn more profit from the same trade .

the main difference is for short trading you need to collect small pips so you have to use high leverage and tight stoploose.but for long trades you will need big pips.and you will low leverage and very long stoploose and also long take profit targets,so naturally the short period trading have ore risk compare to long time trading.
