well i think that both of the tradings depend upon your strategies and the method of your trading. you can do both types of trading.

as i observed, normally the new traders will choose to trade using the short term trading but after time goes by i think most of them who were newbies
switch to long term trading because they are now fully aware of what it takes to make money in this business. so it's a food of thought for anyone
trying to pick which trading strategy for them.

people can choose whatever trading strategy they want as long as it is suitable for their own personalities.
short term traders does not mean only getting small profit there are professional scalpers who make a lot of money too.

short time trading or for me scalping is a good system. and day trading is too. but for weekly and mounthly. i never trade for long time. because for me. everyday has it own trend. because of this assumption, i just gonna hold my trade no more then one day.
