How many pips do you think is safe for SL ?

the ratio of take profit and stop loss is equal if you set your take profit at 25 pips then you must set your top loss in 25 pips this the better eay to get good profit and save your money from loss .

Many newbies ask me how many pips is safe for stop loss? I think its all depend on how much you afford to lose and we have to put stop loss by checking resistance and support levels, we should not put stop loss just by numbers.

To answer this, we must know what type of trading, what you are trading short term or long term? If you choose the long term, you can set the SL 100 pips, with TP 60-70 pips. but, if you are a short term trader, a minimum of 20 pips SL.

I agree with you. Market does not make constant movies. And single stop loss may not be good enough at times. It is better to determine a range for stop loss like 25 pips to 50 pips at max for day trades. Of course keeping in mind about risk reward ratio.
