How many pips do you think is safe for SL ?

I find that there is no equitation of setting and sl and this completely depends on ours as a risking percentages ..if we set 20 pips of SL for as a mid term trade and 50 for long term then it can be very good decision but we need to set TP 50 for short and 90 for long term trading strategy which i m thinking !!

The pivot as a points are really good tools to use in setting stop loss and take profit targets but the important thing about setting your stop loss is that you should gives as the trade enough space to manouvre and this means that your stop loss should be large enough. The second thing is that no matter how large your stop loss is, it should not risky aboved about a 10% of your margins !

The sl is the enemy for ours profit, as when ours position hits as a sl, then ours all profit also goes for loss then, as we taked as its as a highest that tp, and if we take it small number of pips then ours lossing probabilityw ill be increase and if we take it high then we can loose ours balances !

It depends on the trading strategy of the trader , how much money he is investing in the trade , the risk he is willing to take and the profit margin.So the amount varies from trade to trade.

In scalping it is around 3 - 5 pips and in position trading it can be around 100 pips

it's depended whit your strategy like me i work whit 15 pips in stop loss and take profit
its becasue i do scalping for that i do this and you capital too have a big point in your opinion

forex market is very much volatile so you must have to take care that your stop loss not get trigger immediately so amount pips of stop loss depends upon the size of the actual account and some other elements.

if you are sure that the market is going in one direction , with few ups and down , then set the stop loss at a more gap.
its because if suddenly the market goes against you and rise up again then it would not touch that stop loss point.
so its better to set your stop loss at a sufficient distance.

Stop loss is different from another merchant. Some use half profit taking or double use or profit, or use a taking of the evidence. But I use a double for a profit. It is safe for me.
