How many pips do you think is safe for SL ?

yes in fact personally I think before we think how many pips is good for stop loss, then we need to know how good we can analyze the market, because the main problems come up from this side, and if the traders can put the order on the right track, so i guess they do not need to set stop loss with too many pips.

main sl to leta hi nahi hun isliye is bare me kuch bhi bol pana bahut muskil hai sl mere liye hamesha hi khataranak raha hai mujhe loss hi hua iske karan jabki trade me mujhe bina sl ke profit milta hi hai thode der se hi hi sahi par atleast profit hota hai.

My friend we need to use stop loss at our every trade and we have to take decision which price would be the best place for setting up the stop loss. I think we need to find out the perfect support and resistance area and on the basis of support and resistance I set the stop loss.

If you have to determine the number of pips for the stop loss you must have to understand risk management and if you know the risk that you have to take then you can easily decide the number of pips that you have to keep for the stop loss.

i think some where about 20-40 pips. but of course it shall be decided according to your MM an plans. risking our money for much extend is always some what stupid . we shall make an appropriate place for SL's in our strategy .

Very true.the stop loss and take profit is placed based on the support and resistance line.Stop loss can be placed 2,3 pips below or above the support and resistance line.If the stop loss and take profit is to be placed on basis of the numbers then 1:1 or 1:2 may be a good idea.If you put the take profit to 10 pips and then stop loss is 12,13 or 20pips in oposite direction.

Sir main yaha par trading karne ki liye ak bahut hi jayda chote trader hu , is liye main is market me traded karne ki liye jayda pips me stop loss ko use nahi karti hu , balke bahut hi kam pips ki change me hi stop loss ko use karti hu minimum 5 pips me hi ,

bhai ji forex me stop loss lagana cjaoori hai aur esko hamesha aap apne system ke help se ya fir analysis karke he lagaye kyunki bina analysis karke esko lagana aapke liye galat hai aur aapko aise me loss he hoga..

it is million dollar question where to put the stop loss i have in my view that stop loss must be posiitioned on technical points and it may be about 200 percent i mean if you willing to get 100 pips you have to put sl on 300 pips
