Of course , you should always put the stop loss depending on the support and the resistance and don't put a specific number because this is wrong and the market may hits the stop loss in this case then it goes to your target or more.

I think some where about 20-30 pips. but of course it shall be decided according to your MM an plans. risking our money for much extend is always some what stupid .we shall make an appropriate place for SL's in our strategy.

I think if you are greedy then you should use higher leverage as it will enhance your trading capacity and enable you to make more profits. Losses happen due to trading in high lot size and not using proper money management.

Hello , there is no clear amount of how many pips one should put in his position , its depends one a lot of things but one thing the most which is your strategy , each strategy has elements that give us a good idea on where to put a stop loss and take profit , also if you have big account and you play with small lots then you can put big stop loss , but if your account is small i don't recommand that.

your stop loss should be determined by your trading strategy, while some trading strategies use very small loss like 20 to 30pips while some use 50pip some 100pips e.t.c. and there are some trading strategies that do not use stop loss at all for trading, so review your trading system for the best suitable stop loss
