The Reunification Palace Museum is a building located close to April 30 Park, this building has a story that has something to do with the Vietnam War. From a magnificent building built by the French, to a building called the Indepandance Palace. The name later changed to what we now call Reunification Palace.
At the beginning of construction there was no name pinned to the palace. It was not until 1873 that the naming of the Norodom Palace was given in light of France's relations with the King of Cambodia, Norodom. The glory of the palace lasted very long in the hands of the French. Until the time of the second world war, in 1945 Japan began to dominate Indochina. When the Vietnam war ended in April 1975, half a year later there was a major event that made Independence Palace change its name to the Reunification Hall or better known as Reunification Palace.
You can visit the Reunification Palace all year round, only on holidays it will be busier than usual. So, it's a good time when the holidays are on weekdays. The museum opens at 7.30 - 11.00 local time & re-opens at 1 pm to 4 pm. The entrance ticket is quite affordable, which is 30,000 VND or around USD 1.5
