Cambodia officially the Kingdom of French: Royaume du Cambodge), is a country located in the southern portion of the Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia. 2. Luang Prabang
If you are looking for the serene heart of Laos then you may want to travel to Luang Prabang which is a town that lies on the mighty Mekong and Khan rivers.The town is also known for its gorgeous little European style cafes which are located along the scenic river banks and this area is so delightful that it is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

3. Vang Vieng
Van Vieng sits between Vientiane and Luang Prabang and is one of the main backpacker locations in Laos.

I was looking for some advice on a trip out to Asia. I am planning to go to Asia at the end of November / early December for 2 weeks. I was originally thinking about going only to Cambodia but many have recommended including Laos as part of this trip so I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to whether I should do both.

If I do decide to do both I definitely want spend a couple of days in Phnom Penh and three days visiting the Temples at Angkor.

I'd prefer to limit the moving around to a minimum and focus on a few areas so I can see them properly. What I'm hoping to do is get a dose of culture and possibly include some activity while exploring (hiking, kayaking, cycling, etc.).

Any thoughts and suggestions as to what I should do are greatly appreciated.

However, we wondered whether to do an organised trip and this holiday seemed to have the itinerary we, more or less, wanted to follow.
Our main concern is the meal arrangements, we enjoy eating in small, local, restaurants and wondered if the people on the tour are "herded" into restaurants, and although it may be nice eating with your fellow travel companions, it must also be nice to have a break from them! How does this work? Similarly in hotels, is everyone eating breakfast at the same time? I understand the tour numbers range from around 10 to around 20.
