1. The Grand Place
The Grand Place is the main square of Brussels, and it is easily one of the city's best attractions.
Quaint cobblestones fill the ground and incredible gold-trimmed buildings surround the square. The most famous building in the Grand Place is the magnificent Town Hall that was built in the early 15th Century.

2. The Museum of Musical Instruments
For a small fee of €6, you can enter the Museum of Musical Instruments and embark on a journey through time. The museum displays instruments from lots of different periods in history, some of them small and simple, some of them massive and magnificent.

3. Atomium
Originally created for the Brussels World's Fair in 1958, Atomium is now a significant landmark and museum of the city. The massive iron spheres are meant to show the composition of an iron crystal, and the whole structure stands at 102 meters tall.

4. The Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate
Locally known as the Le Musée du Cacao et du Chocolat, the Chocolate Museum is an amazing place to visit if you're a chocoholic or just a food lover in general.

5. Place du Jeu de Balle Market
This outdoor flea market is also known as the "Old Market" to locals, maybe because the market has been running since 1873. This is one of the most-visited markets in Brussels, and it is open every single day.

Atomium is an iconic building that has become one of the icons and landmarks of the city of Brussels, Belgium. This unique building was originally built for the 1958 World Fair in Brussels and is shaped like a molecule of iron crystals that has been enlarged by 165 billion times. Atomium consists of 9 atomic spherical chambers covered with stainless steel and connected by pipes.
Each atom (sphere) has a diameter of 18 m and there are 5 atoms that can be visited which are exhibition halls and public spaces. These atoms are connected by elevators and escalator stairs. In atomium there are also 2 restaurants, namely 1 in the top of the atom and 1 in the terrace at the foot of the atomium building, along with a gift shop. Atomium itself has a height of 102 m and you can see a panoramic view of the city of Brussels from the atom at the top.

Sorry didn't enjoy Brussels at all it was dirty and so far has been the worst city we have visited in Europe. Was a bit sceptical before we went after reading some forum postings saying there was graffiti and the streets were dirty but I thought we had to go see the place and judge for ourselves. The street also smell like gents toilets in some areas. We were advised by forum users to take a day trip to Brugge and wish now that we had done this during our visit rather than staying in the city and being totally ripped off at the chocolate museum!

One of the most famous tourist attractions in Belgium is Le Petit Julien or also known as the Pis Mannequin. It is located in the capital of Belgium, Brussels, at the intersection of the Rue du Chene and also the rue de ietuve street. This mannequin is called that, because it is a statue of a boy urinating into a pool.
This statue was made in 1619 by Hieronymus Duquesnoy Elder. This statue is only 61 cm high, and is made of bronze. This is one of the iconic statues from the Belgian capital. The reason why this statue was made is quite unique and heroic. How could it not be, the little boy accidentally peed on a bomb, so that the bomb did not explode.

We have just returned from Brussels. The city is nice and vibrant, but too crowded and cramped up. The Grand Palace and the Pissing boy was a disappointment, maybe because I thought a Grand palace would be really grand.

Te King's office was more grand and attractive with a lot of space around.

And the pissing boy is a small thing in a crowded street corner.

The Little Europe was also a disappointment as the models were old and cracking at places. The Atomium is an imposing structure and a modern architectural marvel.
