in my point of view an trader need two things in trading and that are paitence in trading and other is avoid greediness in trading if we do trade with paitnece we get maximum benefit

Beginners can learn the basics of Forex from e books and also there are some good websites where they can learn a lot from like www. ********.com and www.forexpros.com . Also they should form a trading strategy and first practice enough on demo accounts to see if they are able to achieve desired results.Once they are high on confidence they can start with real account and start with small amount in the beginning.

Also they must learn to control their emotions and do risk management and money management.
