There is no difference in the Demo and live trading account according to me. But the main difference i think is that the money in the Demo account is available just for trading to know about the tools and equipment and in the live account your money is used to earn some profit but it's depend upon your personal working experience.

I never noticed the second point you mentioned. I always thought that we get real time execution on a demo account as well.
Otherwise we can not practice scalping because it can cause wrong results.
